Built to last for life

Bought this set a year ago. was very pleased with them until I noticed one of the handles cracked at the rivet. after looking over all the knives pretty much every handle is cracked at every rivet. They have never been put in the dishwasher, I aways wash them by hand.
I like the contours of the knifes the way they feel
in my hands when I’m using them.
Simply exquisite!!!🖖🏽🧑🏼🍳🍷
I like this 15 piece high-quality KnifeSaga Knife Set. It comes with everything you need in a knife set, including multiple steak and carving knives, a pair of scissors, and a sharpening tool. The base itself is solid wood, painted black to match the knives, and it's really cool looking and sturdy. The knives fit in the grooves perfectly. While the steak knives are not serrated, it does come with a serrated knife to cut bread and other things. This is so close to being a five-star product, but there are just a few things that are off. First, the knife handles are plastic, which I was not expecting for such high-quality blades and a base. While there are advantages to having a plastic knife base, including weight, I thought this was a little cheap. Second, I don't love the configuration of knife slots on the base. You have to put several knives of the same size both on the top and bottom row due to spacing. A minor issue, but it's there. And third, I don't like how some of the knives are not dishwasher safe. Some of the larger knives come with stickers on them saying not to wash them in a dishwasher. So what's the point of plastic handles if you cant dishwash the knives? While these aren't huge issues alone, for the very high price point, I would have expected a little better design from the manufacturer.
High quality at a reasonable cost. Entire set, sleek, sharp, and adds class to any kitchen. These are heavy duty, for daily use or a classy evening party. Can't say enough positives... highly recommended.
I got these knives as a spare/replacement for our current knife set. For some reason, our household is notoriously hard on knives. This set has all the important knives and support items. The steel is great and the blades come sharp. The entire set is very classy looking from afar and in photos, but up close I’m a little disappointed. First, the block is made of “solid Acacia wood block” but may as well be made out of plastic or any other wood as it is fully painted over in black, not even the wood grain is visible. I suppose the reason for this is to match the black handles of the knives... which themselves are actually plastic. I couldn’t discern this from the photos and somehow had the idea they were also made out of Acacia to match the block, both perhaps in a very dark stain or something. I guess they mean that “plastic” is that “touch of modernity in the knife handles” referred to in the description.I guess it comes down to the designation as ‘professional’ knives. Plastic does offer some advantages over wood – easier to keep clean/sterile, easier to maintain. But wood has the warmth and character, and grip preferred in our non-professional kitchen. So plastic vs. wood handles will come down to personal preference. I am disappointed because I feel a little deceived by the description which also suggested, “Tip: Recommend hand-washing only.” which would apply to wood handles, not stainless steel blades. Upon multiple re-readings, I finally found that the handle material is “Stainless Steel [tang?], Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene”. In any case, for $190 I would expect some nice wood handles in our (home) kitchen. If you prefer ABS/plastic handles, then this is certainly a winner for you and would deserve 5 stars for the quality of the blades. But for me, I’m only giving it 4 stars for the plastic handles.
